Prime100 Crocodile & Tapioca is an advanced novel, hypoallergenic, single protein diet made specifically for dogs requiring an advanced novel protein elimination diet or food trial. Ideal for dogs with suspected food sensitivities, skin allergies or digestion problems including IBD. With added natural digestive enzymes to help improve gastrointestinal health and added functional oils rich in EPA and DHA for optimum skin and coat health. Complete and balanced for dogs of all ages and all breeds (excluding large & giant breed puppies). Can assist dogs with acute indications such as hyperlipidaemia, diabetes or dermatitis.

Our functional protein, select ingredient diets are made in small batches and packed raw in their final packaging, then gently steam cooked and allowed to rest for up to 24 hours. Serve straight from your fridge!

HOW DOES A FOOD TRIAL OR ELIMINATION DIET WORK?:
The Crocodile & Tapioca diet is used for elimination diets or food trials, where a veterinary professional places a dog or cat on a single protein diet of only Crocodile & Tapioca for 4 to 8 weeks. After this time, the dog or cat will usually be challenged with another single protein to see how they react. When the elimination diet is complete, the dog or cat should be fed a protein they can consume without adverse reactions, and exposure to the novel crocodile protein limited for future use in food trials, or elimination diets, if required.

Please note this diet is only accessible via vets.

Crocodile

Australian Crocodile is an advanced novel protein which is suitable for elimination diets and food trials. Crocodile protein is naturally high in omega-3 fatty acids and is a rich source of potassium to support normal cell function and magnesium to support energy production and nerve function. Crocodile protein is a low fat, low cholesterol, high protein meat which supports heart health.

Bamboo Fibre

An insoluble and non-fermentable fibre that passes through the digestive tract unchanged and is not fermented by the microbes in the hind gut and is not therefore an energy or nutrient source. Non-fermentable fibre is important because it acts a bit like a broom and ensures that food moves through the digestive tract in an orderly manner and doesn’t stagnate in any one place for too long.

Celery Seed

A true prebiotic that is soluble and highly fermentable and produces large amounts of short chain fatty acids in the hind gut that are then utilized in multiple metabolic pathways. High in calcium, zinc and other essential amino acids and is known for its pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties. Celery seeds have high amounts of antioxidant flavonoids that protect cells from free-radical damage.

Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed Oil is high in alpha linolenic Omega 3s, which can assist cardiovascular health, soothe itchy skin, reduce hair loss and support healthy skin repair. Flaxseed Oil also helps with mobility for arthritic dogs, and can aid in blood pressure and kidney function.

Tapioca

Tapioca is a novel protein-free carbohydrate from the root of the cassava plant. Tapioca is an alternative to low-quality grains or common allergenic ingredients and provides an excellent source of energy for dogs. It also offers provides an excellent source of mineral content i.e. iron, manganese, and calcium.
